Mostly what happens when an actor submits his resume to the talent agents or casting producer is that his resume gets to the stack of many other resumes already present at the desk of the director. Failing to do so is likely to shift your resume from manager s desk to another pile of resumes that are being rejected by the director. Getting your resume out of the race even before some one gives it a read is really heart breaking. Therefore, every actor no matter how experience or how young, should design his resume on the pattern set by the acting community.

A small catchy tip is to include those acting roles in your resume that are worth mentioning. Many actors include almost all the small and side roles that they had done in the past to impress their recruiters. An actor must know that quality really matters in show business industry then the quantity. A list of many small and unrecognizable roles is of no interest to the director. However, if you mention only some of the best roles that you have done in your past that received plenty of acclaim, it will immediately catch the director s eye and he will weigh his options if you are to be contacted.

Keep yourself informed about the trends that an actor s resume follow. What genre of information to be included and what should be erased from your resume. Do not make your resume crowded and cluttered with your skills and roles.

Almost all the directors and acting agents look for the candidates having proper acting training or education related to the field. It really makes an actor credible as he knows the technical side of his work. Make it compulsory to include all the training that you have done related to your acting assignments or any certificate/diploma in the field.
